Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer (NARA)K

Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in College Park, MD for a bid proposal at the National Archives Building in College Park, MD.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervises Mechanical Engineer- NARA DC.
  • Provides supervisory assistance and technical support of operations and maintenance at NARA - College Park and NARA - District of Columbia.
  • Serves as Acting Operational Manager for NARA DC and College Park.
  • Serves as Action Chief of Operations-DC/MD, if needed.
  • Performs asset/equipment inspections, recommends improvements per industry standards, develops project estimates for IDIQ work.
  • Be available and flexible to supervise staff and contractors, on-site 24/7/365 for contract requirements, critical operations and IDIQ projects.
  • Provide technical support in the efficient and safe operation and maintenance of all mechanical equipment
  • Analyze equipment specifications, operating data, and system control procedures to make recommendations for the improved operation of the mechanical systems
  • Use AutoCAD to create new drawings or revise existing drawings
  • Write or revise SOP's for mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Select equipment for the replacement or modifications of existing systems
  • Research and proposing modifications to improve the operation of the facility

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor's of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from an engineering school with a curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology
  • Minimum of five (5) years of on-site experience in the operation and maintenance of a facility of 1.4 million sq feet
  • Experience with HVAC equipment
  • Knowledge and Experience using Autocad to create new drawings or revise existing drawings
  • Must fluently speak, read and write the English language
