Overview:
URC is searching for an experienced Consultant Writer/Editor with available for multiple short-term assignments over the course of six to twelve months. Specific assignments under the consultancy will be administered under individual Work Order Agreements (WOAs). The number of assignments is not guaranteed.
Responsibilities:
The Consultant Writer/Editor shall assist URC with communications, writing, and editing needs. Communications assistance could include both internal and external corporate communications. Writing and editing assistance could include both corporate communications and US Government proposal response efforts.
Specific assignments will be issued in individual WOAs, however, general assignments throughout the lifetime of the consultancy shall include:
  • Perform miscellaneous writing and editing tasks related to corporate communications.
  • Provide editing and proofreading services to support the timely production of different proposal efforts.
  • Successfully write a high quality, persuasive and competitive technical proposal, concept note, and/or PowerPoint that is responsive to the forthcoming/live solicitation, including integration of technical inputs provided by other proposal team members.
  • Contribute to the planning of strategies and collation/summarization of approaches throughout the entire proposal process (e.g., capture, release/live, etc.).
  • Review and provide feedback on proposals as assigned.
  • Finalize proposals in coordination with the Proposal Tzar and the feedback received during the review process.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
URC is looking for an experienced writer/editor consultant with previous experience working with the US Government. Additionally, URC is looking for backstopping assistance with corporate communications.
Qualifications:
Required Experience and Qualifications
  • Experienced writer/editor.
  • Experience drafting corporate communications for both internal and external audiences.
  • Ability to write and provide copy edits in English.
  • Ability to draft corporate communications in English.
  • Previous experience with US Government funding.
