Job Title: Floor Technician - Part Time (IDA)

Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services has an immediate need for a Part- Time Floor Technician in Arlington, VA. The Floor Technician conducts housekeeping at the IDA sites in Arlington, VA. The hours are: 6pm - 10pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the performance of floor cleaning and polishing beyond standard janitorial duties, including, but not limited to, the use of burnishers, polishers, carpet extractors and other equipment.
  • Equipment used is dependent on the type of floor that requires servicing.
  • Duties can also include a combination of the following: sweeping/mopping; removing chips, trash, and other refuse; dusting equipment, furniture, or fixtures; polishing metal fixtures or trimmings; providing supplies and minor maintenance services; and cleaning lavatories, showers, and restrooms.
  • Conducts housekeeping operations to include: empty trash, garbage container, and replace supplies.
  • Account for individual assigned tools and equipment for night shift housekeeping operations. Reports needs to their supervisor.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by their Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • One (1) or more years experience in housekeeping on Commercial-Industrial building equipment.
  • Be able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of housekeeping procedures and technologies.
  • Must be able to work 6pm - 10pm

    Physical Demands:

    • Prolong, extensive or considerable standing/walking.
    • Push/pull or move/lift equipment, supplies, and/or parts.
    • Manual dexterity and mobility.
    • Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
