Research Project Coordinator - RI Suicide & Prev Fontanella

The Research Project Coordinator will provide high level support to the principal investigator within the Center for Suicide Prevention and Research and will be responsible for conducting and coordinating research activities for a multi-site clinical trial in primary care settings in central and southeastern Ohio. The clinical trial will test the effectiveness of an evidence based clinical care pathway which includes suicide risk screening, risk assessment, and safety planning to reduce suicide in youth.

    Overall coordination and oversight of daily activities of large multi-site clinical trial
  • Provides the day-to-day coordination, oversight, and management of multiple research assistants
  • Manages the recruitment and screening of human participants
  • Schedules and manages research study activities
  • Planning and facilitation of research meetings among team members
  • Monitoring and maintaining regular reporting commitments including IRB protocols
  • Coordinating and supervising data collection activities, including filling in for research assistants when necessary
  • Maintains clear communication with all collaborating sites
  • Ability to frequently travel to primary care sites throughout central and southeastern Ohio Note: Regular, reliable and consistent attendance is an essential job function. Employees are expected to perform work as scheduled. Please see the physical requirements for this position listed below.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Undergraduate Degree with experience in clinical research coordination will be considered Licensure Requirement: Not required Certifications: Not required Skills:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Strong organizational and management skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to filter information, discern importance and initiate plan for project completion.
  • Self-directed, results driven with the ability to manage workload.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of data management software.
