Purpose of Position
Responsible for accurately processing payroll for faculty, staff, and student workers. Research and fix any payroll related errors. Assist employees with questions related to payroll and taxes. Assist payroll director with accurately processing/paying taxes.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Processing payroll including off cycle, reissues and voided checks

  • Process direct deposit, attendance on demand files

  • Process and pay biweekly, quarterly, and annual taxes

  • Input and update wage garnishments, pay and communicate with outside vendors

  • Process vacation payouts and check against trials

  • Input and update deductions as requested by various internal departments and provide reports of such back to departments

  • Communicate with time administrators and employees regarding due dates, questions on time entry etc.
Qualifications
High school diploma and 5 years of experience.

Experience with payroll and excel

Excellent customer service skills

Minimum Education Acceptable Equivalency
Preferred Education Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Experience 2 years
Salary Minimum $19.04/hr
Pay Grade S68
