Job Title: HVAC Mechanic (DOE - F)

Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services has multiple openings for HVAC Mechanics in Washington DC. These positions require candidates to have HVAC Master or HVAC Journeyman license in at least one State (Md. Or DC) and a CFC Universal certificate. The location is metro accessible. Must be flexible regarding schedule

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Installs, services and repairs environment-control systems in commercial buildings, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipefitting and structural layout.

• Mounts compressor and condenser units on platforms or floor using hand tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications.

• Installs, services, and maintains environmental equipment/control systems.

• Utilize trouble shooting skills with electrical circuits/components for refrigeration equipment and refrigerate piping systems.
• Assist estimators with HVAC layout with-in building environment.
• Communicate, work well with customers/co-workers, and handle being under pressure at times.
• Utilize good organizational skills to completing paperwork and managing refrigeration/parts inventory.
• Seek out and correct potential problems before they occur.

Qualifications:

• HVAC Journeyman or Master license in at least one State (Md). or DC
• Have at least 7 years of experience as a Journeyman in servicing and repair of equipment.
• CFC Universal certificate.
• Formal apprenticeship with 4 or more years of training.
• Must be familiar with Screw Type and Reciprocating Chiller
• Extensive knowledge of packaged direct expansion units, split systems, chilled water piping systems, DDC, pneumatic, and electric controls a must.
• Average skill level with rigging, handling, and moving equipment.
• Must be able to read both ladder and line wiring diagrams
• Siemens Apogee training, recommended
• Must be able to pass L Level clearance
• Must be able to work a schedule that may include evenings, nights and weekends
