This Opportunity

Seeking a full-time Occupational Health & Safety Manager in support of LOGCAP V. Join our team and grow with us as we provide best in-class services that help clients solve their most complex challenges.

Your Impact

  • Responsible for the development of a safety and occupational health program which meets the provisions of LOGCAP requirements, industry standards and/or Government specifications.
  • Manage a safety and occupational health program with diverse but recognized hazards in the power, fuel, and aircraft services complying with the Army Corps Safety manual (EM-385-1-1) provisions and effectively communicating multiple safety and occupational health practices and procedures to staff and line personnel.
  • Promote a wide variety of training activities designed to achieve awareness of safety hazards and corresponding preventive procedures in hazardous environment.
  • Ensure that Operations and Maintenance services are performed in a hazard free environment and that the services being met to a good quality standard.
  • Carrying out the following:
    • Inspecting - observing environmental conditions and employee performance patterns to identify electrical and other hazards, detect risks, and determine causal relationships; developing abatement recommendations for safety and occupational health hazards;
    • Investigating - searching for clues, studying variables, questioning witnesses, and retracing sequences to uncover the sources of reported injuries and illnesses;
    • Recording - assuring the validity of data collected, accurate documentation of occurrences and data summaries, and maintenance of program information;
    • Analyzing - examination of available data to identify possible sources of losses experienced, determining critical factors prior to occurrence, and recommendation of alternative adjustments to eliminate or minimize losses from injuries and illnesses;
    • Reporting - defining terminology, writing summaries and preparing summary documentation related to safety and occupational health.
  • Become familiar with the LOGCAP Action Plan (AP) and provide daily, weekly and monthly reports as required by the AP;
  • Frequent travel to job sites is required in the PACOM AOR
  • Follow all LBS standard policies and practices.
  • Other duties as determined.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Must have computer skills and be able to operate a variety of computer programs.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment date.
  • Must maintain a valid passport from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment date
  • Must satisfy and maintain CENTCOM MOD-17 medical requirements to include COVID-9 vaccinations
  • Must be able to gain and maintain authorized entry onto US military installations.

Additional Required Qualifications

  • Experience in developing and implementing Safety and occupational health program for prime power O&M Services
  • Experience in recurring assignments to control or eliminate unsafe physical conditions, equipment and machine hazards, and risks in human performance which may cause injury to persons or damage to property.
  • Practical knowledge of the body of laws, regulations, policies, and procedures related to safety and occupational health to sufficiently interpret and explain the reasons and purposes for applying measures and procedures, minimizing or abating environmental hazards.
  • Experienced working in international work environments in an expatriate or US military status
  • Proactive nature and strong interpersonal skills in collaborating, communicating and working with (1) Site Managers, (2) other senior managers and staff (to include Home Office management team),(2) Local and International subcontractors; (3) Army Corps of Engineers military representatives; and (4) local officials as required.
  • Must have 5years of experienced.
