West Virginia University School of Medicine and the WVU Heart & Vascular Institute seek a Non-Invasive Cardiologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will practice at Braxton County Memorial Hospital in Gassaway, WV; Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins, WV; and Summersville Regional Medical Center in Summersville, WV. The successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, depending on operational needs. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.

The successful candidate will practice in the area of non-invasive cardiology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Braxton County Memorial Hospital: one day per week in clinic and reading studies. Critical access hospital with 24-hour emergency care.

Davis Memorial Hospital: two days per week with in-patient consults, clinic, reads. 80-bed acute care hospital. 9-bed ICU, 24-private-bed medical/surgical, 30-bed medical/surgical unit.

Summersville Regional Medical Center: two days per week with clinic, and echo, stress, and EKG reads. 25 acute beds and 52 extended care beds.

Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical licensure. The successful candidate must have completed an internal medicine residency program and a cardiovascular fellowship program. Additionally, successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in cardiovascular disease. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
