Process Improvement Specialist - BPI

Process Improvement Specialists facilitate process and operational improvement projects and perform process improvement and resource utilization studies by analyzing data, work systems and flows to improve efficiency, reduce costs and improve job and/or customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
    Charter and facilitate multidisciplinary teams to prevent and solve operational problems.
  • Manage multiple projects and milestones concurrently.
  • Gather and analyze data to determine trends, identify root cause and make informed decisions regarding process changes (to include time/motion studies, check sheets, electronic data pulls, online surveys and or benchmarking other hospitals and organizations).
  • Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, Institute for Healthcare Improvement and Change Management tools and methodologies to solve complex problems.
  • Convert data into informative presentations and present clearly and effectively to all organizational audiences.
Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, or a related field.

Required Experience:

  • One to three years' work experience facilitating operational and/or process improvement projects.
  • Demonstrated practical knowledge and application of Lean, Six Sigma, Institute for Healthcare Improvement and Change Management tools and methodologies.
  • Proficient with MSOffice: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of staff, outside vendors, consultants, and physicians.

Minimum Physical Requirement:

  • Talking in person/on the phone (Frequently)
  • Standing/walking (Frequently)
  • Typing on a keyboard (Frequently)
