You will be a key member of the Proposal Management team in the Social Sector, Healthcare and Public Sector (SHaPE) Practice at McKinsey North America. McKinsey's SHaPE Practice provides management consulting services to government and social sector agencies at all levels in the North America region. To support further growth, the practice is seeking a proposal manager, to be based in Washington D.C Office and focus on proposal development for US-based government entities.
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-6 years of experience in end-to-end public sector proposal development; preference for experience at large professional services firms
- Experience developing proposals for US government entities
- Experience with entire proposal development process, including the demonstrated ability to produce compliant, responsive, and compelling proposals
- Ability to interact collaboratively with consultants, forging effective relationships across our client service teams
- Ability to work with subject matter experts and leadership to develop non-technical sections of the proposal content including past performance, staffing, resumes, and executive summary
- Ability to complete tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communications skills
- Power user with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel as well as Adobe Acrobat
- Shipley trained and certified, preferred
- US Citizenship required
