  • The Senior Programmer Analyst will be responsible for developing and supporting the Advantage Human Resource Management (HRM) application utilizing CGI toolsets, SQL coding and other authorized development tools.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

  • SQL coding 8+ years work experience
  • Experience or willingness to learn and maintain HRM application configuration management using administration toolsets
  • Experience in the following skillsets is a plus: XML, SSIS packages, Java and/or API real time processing.

Education and Experience:

Skills Required

  • Collaborate in gathering and documenting change requirements from end users and management.
  • Translate high-level conceptual ideas into technical requirements.
  • Develop and test HRM application updates.
  • Responsible for implementing changes as required by the State of Alabama.
  • 8+ years of SQL Coding experience
  • Previous experience or willingness to learn CGI Advantage HRM (Human Resource Management) application configuration management using administrator style menus.
  • Experience in the following skillsets is a plus: XML, SSIS, java, API, JEXL and real-time interface processing

Skills Preferred

  • Interactive communication tools and protocols such as FileZilla, Putty, ssh, FTP -.bat scripts
  • SSIS package creation and support
  • Willingness to learn other toolsets like Actian Dataconnect and/or other XML generation toolsets

Experience Required

  • 8+ years SQL Coding work experience
  • Previous experience or willingness to learn CGI HRM application configuration management using administrator style menus.

  • Application development life cycles (business requirements, test scripts, UAT testing)
  • Experience in the following skillsets is a plus: XML, SSIS, java, API and real-time interface processing

Experience Preferred

Additional Information

  • This is currently budgeted for 6 months as of now and will be extended as needed, with the possibility of converting to the merit system. This position does not offer sponsorship
  • Position will be full time, onsite in Montgomery, AL. No remote work would be considered.
  • In person interviews are preferred. Phone and video interviews will be conducted for non-local candidates
