Job Description

The Colliers Government Solutions practice group is a national real estate brokerage practice providing leasing and investment sales services to owners and investors of government-leased properties nationwide.  The group is based in Washington, DC and is searching for a new Associate to provide transactions support to the team’s leasing brokers.

You enjoy working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.  You have a keen eye for detail and the ability to juggle a wide variety of tasks all at once.  You aspire to become an expert who Colliers’ clients can rely upon for advice and guidance. 

 

What you bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university.

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role, assisting with transactions, financial analysis and/or market research.

  • Excellent writing and communications skills.

  • Self-motivation and initiative.

  • Desire to become a national expert in government-sector real estate.

 

Bonus skills and experience

  • ARGUS

  • Government knowledge or background

  • Active real estate license

 

What success looks like

  • Assisting your team members in preparing lease offers to various government agencies on behalf of property owners.

  • Interfacing with the firm’s customers in response to government lease procurements.

  • Managing a database of government properties and leases and tracking leasing and sales activity nationally.

  • Monitoring events that affect government agency budgets and mission, assessing their impact on real estate needs.

  • Working effectively in a collaborative environment.

  • Providing customized financial analysis to assist client decision-making.

  • Creating various presentation materials including charts, graphs and spreadsheets while also coordinating business content for proposals and ad hoc projects.

  • Demonstrating expertise in all facets of government-sector real estate.
