West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Radiology seek a pediatric radiologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV. With an anticipated opening of early 2022, our new 150 bed Children's Hospital will have a full suite of pediatric operating rooms, cardiac catheterization lab/interventional radiology, and GI-endoscopy with dedicated pediatric anesthesia staff. The hospital will include 34 pediatric beds, 54 NICU beds, 26 PICU beds, Heart Center, and a dedicated Cancer Center. WVU Medicine Children's is a Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center, with plans to become Level 1, as it is for adults currently. There will also be a Birthing Center including a 30-bed obstetrical unit and maternal-fetal medicine clinic. J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital is the only hospital in West Virginia with a pediatric cardiac surgery program, the only epilepsy monitoring unit in the state equipped to serve children, and the only hospital in the state to receive Magnet status for nursing excellence. WVU Medicine Children's will have a pediatric emergency department, and an entire imaging floor with CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and general radiology services. This includes space for a child life specialist, physician reading room in the imaging hub, and nursing and prep/recovery space for anesthesia cases and other needs. Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the area of pediatric radiology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Qualifications: Applicants must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical licensure. Successful candidate must have completed a radiology residency program as well as fellowship in pediatric radiology. Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in radiology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
