This position requires a Secret Security Clearance, PMP Certification, and will Travel to various job locations!

Preferred Experience:

  • 2 to 3 years of experience working with the US Military on IT projects including: providing ongoing status briefings and reports to Senior Commanders.
  • Organizing large scale programmatic rollouts of technology solutions at multiple or single sites.
  • Experience managing multiple AV or network integration projects.
  • Leading a team of engineers using successful PM strategies to execute pre and post sales requirements to fulfill customer project needs.
  • Approve expenditures that are not related to an assigned project up to $1500.00
  • Related to assigned projects, the Project Manager has the following authority: to make day-to-day decisions regarding scope, cost, price, time and schedule, quality, communications; facilitate meetings; represent Futron for negotiating contracts, subcontracts, change orders, and purchase orders; direct authority over site personnel; approve change orders; approve any additional equipment from original contract.

Principles, Duties, and Responsibilities:
The Project Manager plans, directs and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals of project completion within a specific time frame and budget are obtained by performing the duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Activities may include the following: Negotiate subcontracts and purchase orders; prepare, review, revise, and update construction schedules; review submittals, plans, and specifications; correspond with subcontractors, suppliers, and owners via verbal and written documentation; ensure proper job documentation is being prepared, submitted, and filed; keep higher management informed of project status; prepare, maintain, and update project budgets; prepare change order proposals, assist in negotiations; assist in the preparation of subcontractor "scope of work" portions of the subcontracts; assist in the resolution of technical and/or vendor/partner issues; bid preparation, and site visits for new jobs; solicit bids from subcontractors and material suppliers and do estimates/takeoffs for proposed projects; prepare subcontracts and purchase orders for start-up; conducts briefing and orientation for site personnel; establish progress schedule for projects; maintain schedule; support the preparation of invoices; attends progress meetings with customers, and provide guidance/assistance to on site personnel; review and approve subcontractor and supplier invoices as required; ensure that all closeout documentation is submitted to the customer at project completion.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Accounting

  • Blueprint reading
  • Ability to lead, train, and motivate staff at all levels
  • Good communication skills (oral and written)
  • Bachelor Degree and 3-5 years of experience or 7-10 years of experience
  • Basic foundation in Project Management methodologies and PMP REQUIRED.
  • Gathering, accessing, and integrating information

  • Identify critical success factors and risks for assigned projects.
  • Negotiate and resolve conflicts
  • US Citizens, Non Felons; the position will require an ACTIVE SECRET security clearance.
  • Military experience preferred; Veterans' are encouraged to apply
  • Mathematical aptitude
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 preferred

  • MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, Publisher, and Project

Working Conditions:

  • Business Office and Construction Site
  • Must be able to climb ladders and lift equipment, may require work overhead and on lifts.
  • Must be able to handle criticism and remain calm and effective in highly stressful situations. Keep emotions in check, control anger and avoid aggressive behavior even in very difficult situations.
