Job Title: Electronics Technician III

Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services has an immediate need for an Electronics Technician III in Washington, DC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs a variety of electrical trade functions, including repairs, tests, and maintains electrical equipment, machinery, and systems.
  • Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents.
  • Isolating malfunctions and incorporating engineering; changes.
  • Work typically requires an understanding of the interrelationships of circuits, exercising independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, using complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment.
  • Ensures contract performance in accordance with the direction and policies of EMCOR

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years experience working with security systems, fire alarm systems, PA systems, and sprinkler control systems in commercial facilities.
  • Must be able to perform quality work in accordance with Safety procedures.
  • Must complete the OSHA 10 General Safety and Health training class (supplied by EMCOR).
  • Ability to work extended hours or weekend overtime, if needed.
  • Must be able to pass a background check including a drug test.

Physical Demands

The work requires the ability to lift and carry minimum of 50 lbs. to heavy items; to walk, climb stairs and able to work on ladders over 12 feet in length, bend and crouch, and to reach and pull to work on equipment; and to use hands, arms and legs in using the tools and materials of the trade. Employee is responsible for complying with life safety and OSHA requirements.
