Job Description

The purpose of this position is to survey the citizens of Carroll County to determine their perceptions of gaps in Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) treatments and services in the county as well as their perceptions regarding additional non-healthcare related barriers to seeking treatment or services for OUD. This position is supported by a federal grant with a focus on integrating healthcare with the justice system in support of eliminating OUD.

Primary Responsibilities

The ideal IHI Graduate Research Assistant is a graduate student at NKU enrolled in a research-based program with experience in community-based research, a range of interviewing techniques, and intermediate to advanced statistics. The candidate will
need:
* strong organizational skills with attention to detail;
* excellent client service and networking skills;
* the ability to work independently but also keep the site supervisor well informed on
challenges as well as progress on the work;
* excellent written and oral communication skills; and
* strong computer skills.

Preferred qualifications include experience with:
* independent development of survey instruments;
* database management;
* counseling or similar clinical skills;
* familiarity with Carroll County.
