Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (NARA)K

Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services is seeking a Mechanical Engineer l in Washington, provide operations and maintenance support for the National Archives Building in Washington, DC.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support in the efficient and safe operation and maintenance of all mechanical equipment

  • Analyze equipment specifications, operating data, and system control procedures to make recommendations for the improved operation of the mechanical systems

  • Use AutoCAD to create new drawings or revise existing drawings

  • Write or revise SOP's for mechanical equipment and systems.

  • Select equipment for the replacement or modifications of existing systems

  • Research and proposing modifications to improve the operation of the facility;


  • Bachelor's of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from an engineering school with a curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology

  • Minimum of five (5) years of on-site experience in the operation and maintenance of a facility of 850k sq feet

  • Experience with HVAC equipment

  • Knowledge and Experience using Autocad to create new drawings or revise existing drawings
  • Must fluently speak, read and write the English language
