Position: Ocean Export Coordinator, Aluminum Trading
Work Location: Torrance, CA *Currently all employees are working from home until the stay at home order by the State is lifted.
Working Hours: 9am-5pm *can be modified. i.e. 8-4,10-6 etc.)

An international aluminum trading company is looking for an export coordinator who has the basic understanding and experience of logistics/export.
Main responsibility is enhancing product workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory.

Essential Duties Include But Not Are Limited To: (Not Official: Please ask the interviewer for more details)
*Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
*Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.
*Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
*Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
*Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped.
*Compute amounts, such as space available, shipping, storage, or demurrage charges, using computer or price list.

*Previous experience in handling Ocean Export documentation.
*Good communication skills to communicate with suppliers in the mid-west region.
*Able to meet the timeline to coordinate the export shipment, book with freight forwarders, prepare documents and update systems.
*Previous experience with QuickBooks, CargoWise software or similar.
