II. JOB SUMMARY: A member of the work team with cross-functional responsibilities provides support to assigned team assuring quality products are produced which meet the customer needs. In support of production activities assures that standardized work is in place and followed. Serves as a facilitator to the work team in areas of problem solving, issue resolution, continuous improvement and training. This position ensures that a safe work environment is maintained at all times; is a working part of the production cell; must also be able to perform all the jobs on team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understanding of safety policies, practices and rules that apply to assigned area, including HazCom labels, MSDS information, LOTO procedures.
Promotion of Safety within in the cell and primary contact to ensure proper reaction to and reporting of injury and/or illness.
Coordination of shift production reporting and scheduling
Confirmation of part quality prior to and periodically during the shift, including receiving inspection.
Coordination of job assignments based on production needs and/or attendance concerns
Development and monitoring of rotation schedule
Monitoring of efficiency, downtime and scrap
Provide first response to line problems.Document problems, resolve when possible and follow-up with appropriate resource or group to ensure problem is corrected.
Facilitation of efficient meetings to foster continuous improvement and communication.
Facilitation of team through the problem solving process.Document efforts through use of BOS methodology.
Monitoring and Maintenance of 5S in the work place.
Provides daily update on operations to Supervisor.
Perform daily inventory counts for department.
Input OEE daily.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
