Project Manager (Process Improvement) (2000235)

The Project Manager has overall responsibility for the technical, budget, schedule administrative and financial execution of individual projects. The Project Manager works on the successful delivery of projects for clients within a market program. This includes leading project team members and managing all phases of a project including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling and closing projects. This position also includes maintaining relationships with clients and key decision makers to help identify follow-on business opportunities and maintain customer intelligence. The Project Manager position is a management-level position, with both technical and management responsibilities. Projects are typically executed on an independent basis, with assistance by assigned staff, though subject to independent quality assurance and financial/management performance audits.

Job Duties/Roles
  • Lead project teams to ensure quality services are delivered on schedule and within available budget to meet customer requirements.

    • Developing project management plans to define and sequence project tasks, estimate the task duration to develop a project schedule, develop project's budget

    • Participates in the development of budgets, schedules and profit objectives for assigned projects, within requirements of contracts.

    • Sets up the project, initiates project management files, and maintains project files and documentation for assigned projects

    • Communicating project management plans to project teams to ensure they understand the scope, schedule and assigned work authorization

    • Planning and scheduling client meetings
    • Conducting project team meetings
    • Executing project tasks according to the project management plan to ensure the project remains on schedule

    • Track and monitor project expenses, including labor, travel and other expenses to ensure project remains on budget.

    • Conducting research and data analysis, to include but not limited to assisting with conducting customer or stakeholder analyses.

    • Preparing written documents, reports, and presentations as required by the client

    • Monitoring client feedback and service delivery status

    • Developing conclusions and recommendations, write reports, and assist with client presentations

    • Giving oral presentations to clients
    • Tracking and reporting hours spend executing projects

    • Coordinating issuance of invoices to clients
    • Tracking outstanding invoices to ensure timely payment

    • Monitoring project accounts receivable concerning the client's account and working with client to maintain timely payments.

    • Working with individuals at all levels, provide input to reports and other deliverables, execute multiple assignments, meet agreed deadlines, and adjust to changing client demands

    • Performing quality assurance on project deliverables

  • Develop relationships with existing customers to facilitate development of new business.

    • Planning, scheduling and leading client meetings
    • Meeting with new and existing clients to listen to their needs

    • Communicating client needs to project managers and supervisors

  • Identify new business opportunities with existing customers for current and/or additional services

    • Participate in marketing activities, conference presentations, technical whitepapers

    • Leading a team to develop proposals including writing proposals, estimating level of effort,

    • Learn, understand and be conversant in ABS Group products and services

    • Review published reports and news articles about existing and potential new clients to identify customer intelligence

    • Networking to meet new potential clients

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required (KSAR)
  • Lead and motivate team members
  • Project Management skills, including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing projects based on contractual requirements.

  • Communicate technical aspects of projects and of work assignments to clients, project team members and supervisors.

  • Delegation skills

  • Perform research and provide analysis on research performed

  • Working knowledge of the ABS Health, safety, quality and environmental management systems

Bachelor's degree

Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
