The Technical Specialist will demonstrate the following capabilities:
  1. Manage physical security system support to meet service level agreements
  2. Analyze physical security system performance and recommend improvements
  3. Resolve complex system issues for physical security systems and networks
  4. Provide Tier 3 support to the system administration team
  5. Programming and integrating an entire system at the global level
  6. Using advanced knowledge of networking principals and system administration skills to troubleshoot systems and operating systems
  7. Communicate with customers, manufacturers, vendors and system administrators
  8. Train system users and other system support personnel
  9. Analyze and modify preventive maintenance checklists for system changes
  10. Troubleshoot system performance issues and implement corrective actions
  11. Perform preventive maintenance actions including system back-ups, error log reviews, database size and integrity checks
  12. Organize and prepare detailed documentation of system performance, including service request records and analysis
  13. Perform desktop hardware and operating system set-up, imaging software loading, and antivirus updates
  14. Conduct in depth research and evaluate the research of Technical Specialists in order to evaluate existing and future systems
  15. Perform and manage PITCO's.
  16. Perform final programming of systems
  17. Provide on site system support post deployment
  18. Read and interpret engineering drawings
  19. Understand SOP and SOW documentation
  20. Ensure test lab equipment is maintained
  21. Assisting with annual performance evaluations
  22. Ensure availability of remote Pitco and remote access
  23. Interface with engineering team to ensure design efficiency
  24. Interface with internal and external customers
  25. Provide advanced level database support
  26. Conduct research and development of entire systems and analyze all interoperability and constructability scenarios
  27. Delegating tasks and providing support to level I and II Electronics Technical Specialists
  28. Using 60% or 90% designs to develop and build out PITCO
  29. Read blue prints, schematics and statements of work (SOW).
  30. Ensuring PITCO build outs adhere to statements of work (SOW).
  31. Coordinate with field personnel and/or engineering team to discuss any potential installation issues
  32. Answer support calls to help field personnel and system administrators with any installation issues encountered on the job site
  33. Document support calls in the internal support systems (IMMS); ensuring all tickets are addressed and closed.
  34. Conduct research and development on new system manufacturers (i.e. access control, intrusion detection and closed circuit television systems).
  35. Perform all duties with minimal direct supervision
 
Specific position requirements are as follows:

 

  1. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; DoD TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
  2. Requires 8-10 years of experience with installation, troubleshooting and/or testing of electronic security systems
  3. Requires system administrator experience in performing triage on system problems, resolving the system problems, analyzing system data to prevent problems, and implementing new workstations and system extensions
  4. Requires a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or HS diploma/GED coupled with three (3) additional years of security systems experience
  5. Requires reliable attendance at customer site during work hours required by customer
  6. Requires the ability to work a flexible schedule that includes occasional nights and weekends
  7. Requires travel CONUS and OCONUS travel

  1. Vendor certifications for electronic systems
