JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
The Systems Engineer is responsible for quickly and thoroughly understanding a customer's needs and translate that into a system design that can be deployed at scale around the globe. Ability to maintain workflow and business logic for complex systems, determining root cause of complex network and system problems, resolving day to day system issues and providing a proactive approach to general system administration while identifying enhancements and efficiencies.  Have an understanding of the IT environments ESSs need to operate in, and know how to talk to network security teams to securely deploy your solutions. Work with a team of Security Engineers to share your knowledge and gain an even deeper understanding of how large enterprises are secured.  The System Engineer works closely with customers to evaluate new hardware and software for integrations.  
 
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  1. Overall system administration with developed infrastructure
  2. Lead new integrations, software updates, and design and implementation efforts
  3. Systems Administration / Maintenance
  4.  Windows Server
  5. SQL Server
  6. Networking
  7. VMWare management
  8. Create and execute Test Plans for new system interfaces / maintain test system
  9. Troubleshoot system issues to identify and address system bugs
  10. Develop Business Logic, response workflow, and system reports
  11. Program, repair, and modify code in various system devices and middleware
  12. Meet with the customer to understand the security needs and develop requirements and test plans.
  13.  Identify candidate technologies and evaluate them against the defined requirements. Become an expert on the system and be able to communicate how the system enables the solution and where it's limitations lie.
  14. Work with internal teams to assess and resolve all privacy, network security, and scalability concerns for the systems. 
  15. Write high quality documentation for system standards and operations. Work hand in hand with installation and administration teams to field the solutions.
  16. Continually re-evaluate the systems to ensure they are still effective and actively assess how new technology developments or changes in the environment may require a new solutions.
REQUIREMENTS
  1. A Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architectural engineering or related field with 5-7 years of experience or Master's degree with 3-5 years of experience.
  2. Must have strong interpersonal and writing skills and be a problem owner/solver.
  3. Proven ability to effectively plan and organize one's own activities or the activities of others.
  4. Up to 25% travel, must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
  5. System administration experience in performing triage on system problems, resolving the system problems, analyzing system data to prevent problems, and implementing new workstations and system extensions
  6. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; DoD Top Secret clearance is required.
