PURPOSE: The Mechanical Maintenance Technician 4 operates and maintains the site-critical equipment..

RESPONSIBILITIES:
All duties from previous levels of both Mechanical and Electrical must be performed in addition to:
- Mentor less experienced technicians
- Serve as the ssistant lead technician with work load distribution and reporting

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Lifting and physical exertion required.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Daily physical exertion of hands and fingers, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and or crawling.
- Able to walk or sit for a long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required to include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Experience
- 8 years of experience in maintenance of facilities with thorough understanding of, electrical systems, controls, generator, and life safety systems required.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required OR Vocational or Associates Degree preferred
Abilities
- Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.
- Sitting for extended periods of time.
- Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.
- Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.
- Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
- Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
- Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
- Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
- Identify and understand the speech of another person.
