The Senior Electrical Test Technician 3 works independently on small to medium sized projects or as part of a larger, more complex project. The Senior Electrical Test Technician is responsible for the overall administration, organization and implementation of the project.

  1. Responsible for developing Electrical Testing Program for duty site and serve as the subject matter expert over the divisions Operation and Maintenance program
  2. Responsible for managing or training operations staff to operate (monitor and control) and update all system (s) control applications maximizing the efficiency of the system being controlled and revising the operating controls as needed to accommodate changes in the facility operations or to correct identified problems/ inefficiencies.
  3. Responsible for assisting the development process, methods, standard operating procedures (SOP) and training programs for operators to monitor and control the complex mechanical, electrical, life safety and building control system(s) that comprise the monitor and control. 
  4. Responsible for assisting the implementation process and procedures set forth using CMMS program to schedule, dispatch, track and report MEP field emergency repair, adjustment, preventive maintenance and warranty activities. 
  5. Manages the integration, reliability and functionality for all the building control system(s) that comprise the mission that include the SCADA, Delta Controls and the Life Safety Systems.
  6. Coordinates with the Program Manager while on duty to optimize the performance of monitoring systems and meet the government energy goals
  7. Provides oversight; must be capable of troubleshooting and have the expertise to address operational problems.
  8. Assumes supervisory responsibility during electrical testing activies
  9. Assists MEP Operations Manager in developing electrical work and project schedules.
  10. Assists in developing and implementing ORM safety procedures and safety meetings.  Generate safety reports and maintain related safety records.  
  11. Trouble shooting, SCADA, Building Management Systems, Relay testing, SKM power systems, ETAP, able to conduct short circuit studies, able to conduct Arc Flash studies
  12. Position requires eligibility for a DoD clearance.
  13. Must have reliable transportation.
  14. NETA II or NICET equivalent
  15. High School Diploma with six (6) plus years of experience.

Abilities

  1. Lifts at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period of time.
  2. Relocates a 12 foot stepladder without assistance.
  3. Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.
  4. Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
  5. Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
  6. May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
  7. Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.  It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
  8. Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  9. Combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (including finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
  10. See details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  11. Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
