Reports To: IT Project Manager

Location: Columbia, MD

Position Summary:

Ambu is a rapidly growing and successful MedTech company. As part of this exciting growth, we are currently seeking a highly experienced IT Business Analyst to become part of an international Business Analytics and Data Management Team.

The IT Business Analyst will be responsible for acting as a partner with the business to facilitate and implement various technical solutions, data warehouse optimizations, and data governance processes as part of an enterprise data strategy roadmap. This individual requires a high level of experience with complex system integration projects, IT industry standards, IT project management, requirement elicitation, and process development.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Define and manage requirement scope and deliverables to meet business objectives
  • Lead requirement workshops with business users and stakeholders to capture agreed and prioritized business needs
  • Analyze, verify, and manage requirements (from capture through fulfillment) for completeness, consistency, clarity, feasibility, traceability, and conformity to standard SMART criteria
  • Translate business and conceptual user requirements into functional requirements
  • Assist in translation and prioritization of functional requirements into technical requirements for solution delivery
  • Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business units for the purpose of eliciting, documenting, validating, socializing, and modeling requirements and business processes
  • Create business process flows and identify process optimizations
  • Work with business units and the Solution Architect to identify strategic and tactical improvements
  • Collaborate with the IT Project Manager and Solution Architect on business needs, requirement analyses, project impacts, Denmark enterprise alignment, and business stakeholder engagement
  • Organize and lead meetings communication with third party vendors and customers to identify scope/dependencies
  • Aid in impact assessments, risk mitigations, as well as viable solutions
    • Perform ad hoc duties as needed
  • Lead and facilitate interface development meetings and communications with EDI customers
  • Lead quality assurance in defining test plans and test cases
  • Work with business teams to develop and execute user acceptance test scenarios
  • Lead and coordinate defect management and triaging
  • Assist in project planning, estimation, and reporting activities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Software Development, Computer Engineering, Project Management or related field
  • 7+ years of working in Information Technology (Business Analysis, Project Management)
  • Proficient in SQL (intermediate) and Excel (advanced)
  • Previous experience working with a medical device company is preferred, but not required
  • Strong problem-solving skills in relationship management, solution delivery, and team collaboration
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
  • Proven success in developing client relationships and managing expectations
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation
  • Experience in Project Management methodologies and phases of delivery, including Testing/QA
