Job Title: Security Monitor

Location: Washington, DC

Description:

ALEX - Alternative Experts has multiple openings for construction Security Monitors. The selected candidates will be responsible for ensuring building security throughout a government facility. Specific duties include but are not limited to:

  • Enforcing regulations and procedures designed to prevent breaches of security
  • Exercising judgment and using discretion in responding to incidents and emergencies
  • Determining whether to intervene directly
  • Asking for assistance as time permits
  • Keeping situation under control or surveillance
  • Reporting any incidents or situations to the appropriate authorities for handling

Required Qualifications:

  • Applicants must have and be able to maintain a Secret level security clearance at minimum.
  • Meet and maintain background eligibility requirements for access to sensitive information
  • Ability to withstand a wide range of indoor and outdoor temperatures
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and navigate stairs without the use of an elevator
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
