The Project Leader will:

  1. Oversee the installation of electronic security systems at multiple facilities throughout the United States.
  2. Establish and implement procedures and controls to ensure that security installation projects are completed on time and within budget.
  3. Manage project site managers and supervisors.
  4. Interface with customer personnel and respond to their issues and concerns.
  5. Manage subcontractors and oversee their performance.
  6. Perform site security surveys and conduct design reviews.
  7. Prepare installation proposals and schedules.
  8. Oversee warranty service for completed installations. 
  9. Prepare status reports and briefings.
  10. A minimum of fifteen years of experience in the design, installation, integration, and testing of electronic security systems.  Within this timeframe, at least five years of experience managing installation projects on nationwide security installation federal government contracts.
  11. This position requires a Bachelor's degree.
  12. Run day-to-day operations of a project or sub-section of a project.
  13. Identify change orders and ensuring effective resolution.
  14. Price, track and manage change orders.
  15. Plan and monitor cash flow against cash expenses.
  16. Maintain as-builts as work is completed.
  17. Document project issues/conditions.
  18. Plan and execute project completion and punch list.
  19. Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize organize, and accomplish your work.
  20. Read and interpret blue prints and project specifications.
  21. Research and compile submittals; pricing change orders and prepare estimates for partially designed projects by finishing the design and preparing a complete project estimate.
  22. Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
  23. Communicate with people outside the Company, representing the Company to customers, the public, the government, and general contractor representatives.

Education Requirements:

  • 10-12 years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline (BS)
  • 7-9 years of experience with a MS/MA
EXPERIENCE
  1. Experience working on electrical projects ranging from $500,000 to $10M.
  2. Experience working with contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addendums, specifications, change orders, RFIs, submittals.
  3. Experience using sophisticated Project Mgmt, CPM Scheduling, Cost and AutoCAD software.
  4. Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints and drawings on electrical projects. 
  5. Familiar with standard deliverables and work process on projects.
  6. Must have strong interpersonal and writing skills and be a problem owner/solver.
  7. Proven ability to effectively plan and organize one's own activities or the activities of others.
  8. Attention to detail

  11. Experience with scheduling (MS Project) a plus
  12. Demonstrated technical proficiency in MCD core disciplines
