JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Electronics Technician IV will demonstrate the following capabilities:
- Install and maintain electronic security systems with experience on various systems and with multiple customer programs
- Understand and analyze design documentation and system data to plan and execute installation and maintenance activities
- Identify installation and maintenance activities and determine execution durations
- Complete high quality device and component installation activities and maintenance activities
- Participate in configuration of servers, workstations, panels and other programmable components
- Execute testing to verify high quality installations
- Execute testing to identify and correct system problems at component and system levels as part of system sustainment activities
- Install system raceway
- Install system cabling
- Terminate and test system cabling and all components
- Install equipment racks, enclosures, panels and all mounting hardware components
- Meet all attendance requirements and working hours of the assignment
- Communicate effectively with supervisors
- Communicate effectively with subordinates
- Incorporate, follow and reinforce all required safety practices at all times
- Participate in creation, updates, and management of project schedules
- Identify potential project risks and manage to mitigate
- Track, document and analyze for productivity improvements
- Perform design drawing take-offs and participate in material order preparation
- Complete detailed and accurate as-built, testing, and quality control documentation
- Participate in logistics planning for personnel and equipment
- Perform as the primary contact for field operations with the customer representatives
- Responsible for field actions, risks, problem resolution, improvements, and personnel
 
Additional responsibilities may include: 
- Reviewing technical design and performing site surveys.
- Providing technical design consultations with Engineers and reviewing installation design plans.
- Developing takeoffs and calculating work breakdown structure and man hours.
- Procuring all cables/fiber, field devices and associated materials.
- Providing Project Manager with weekly project status and schedule updates.
- Interfacing with customers to address project status and/or customer concerns.
- Conducting new hire and weekly safety meetings.
- Generating and submitting requests for information (RFIs) to the Project Manager and Project Engineer.
- Proposing change orders per customer requests (i.e. man hours, equipment and materials).
- Maintaining and updating onsite inventories.
- Providing leadership on medium to large or complex installation projects.
- Utilizing a drawing package to complete and installation on both the local and global levels.
- Integrating access control, intrusion detection and closed circuit television systems.
- Troubleshooting and resolving all global programming issues for access control, intrusion detection and closed circuit television systems.
- Troubleshooting and resolving integrated systems with the assistance of the Technical Specialist team.
- Coordinating all material returns with vendors.
- Developing complete project quality control punch lists and ensuring they are resolved (i.e. Daily Lists, Performance Verification Testing and Final Acceptance).
- Performing final acceptance walk through with the customer and getting their sign off.
- Scheduling site inspections and ensuring inspection fillings are complete.
- Ensuring projects are executed and completed according to project plans.
- Administering IMMS, running various reports and ensuring the system is up to date.
- Conducting employee reviews and providing direction on career development plans.
- Participating and contributing in PPKOM and PKOM meetings.
- Managing small groups of more junior Technicians and/ or Apprentices as needed.
 
Specific position requirements are as follows:
- Requires a HS diploma or GED
- Requires a Valid driver's license
- 10 years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs
- Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems
 
Formal Electronics Training as follows:
- Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours) or
- Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or
- Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program or
- An additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities
- This position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle.  Selected candidates must possess an acceptable driving record in accordance to our policy.\\
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; eligibility for a DoD Secret clearance is required

Specific desired experience, skills and certifications are as follows:

- Software House CCURE, Verint, MDI, AMAG Symmetry, Bosch BVMS, FFT, Honeywell Video &  Vindicator, and Proximex certifications and experience in installation of said systems.
- Lenel OnGuard Enterprise Security System certification (1000 and 2000)
- Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems

Abilities

  1. Physical Ability Requirements:
  2. Lifts at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period of time.
  3. Relocates a 12-foot stepladder without assistance.
  4. Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.
  5. Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
  6. Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
  7. May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
