Position Overview

TRC is seeking an Building Science and Industrial Hygiene Project Manager for our New York City, NY office. This position will work on various public and private projects throughout the greater NYC area.

Requirements and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Inspections/Abatement Design/Project Oversight for Asbestos, Mold, Lead-Based Paint, and PCBs.
  • Water intrusion investigations and moisture mapping.
  • The ability to coordinate multiple projects with property owners, building managers, and local/state/federal regulators.
  • Experience working in the states of New York and/or New Jersey. New York City experience is a plus. New York City public agency experience preferred.
  • Experience preparing proposals, managing budgets, and overseeing staff.
  • Possess outstanding verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team building skills.
  • Financial Project Management
 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be able to read project specifications and drawings.
  • Prior experience in various aspects of survey/design/abatement projects.
  • Must be a good communicator and a team player.
  • The following certifications are required: Certified NYS Asbestos Inspector/ NYC Investigator; Asbestos Designer and/or Asbestos Project Monitor/Air Sampling Technician; Lead Based Paint Inspector/Risk-Assessor (EPA and/or NJ); NYS Mold Assessor; NJ AST
  • New York City public agency experience preferred.
  • Experience preparing proposals, managing budgets, and overseeing staff.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable means of transportation.
