Job Description







§  Physical capability to handle labor activity on a daily basis including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds of material, utilize demolition hammers, block and concrete removal.

§  Ability to work safely using helmets, safety glasses, gloves, etc. while working from ladders and scaffolding to access heights up to 15 feet.

§  Previous experience working with common construction tools such as sawzalls, drills, chipping hammers, hand tools, etc. Experience with cutting torches is desirable but we will train the willing candidate.

§  Two or more years’ experience in various types of construction projects.

§  Eligible to legally work in the United States of America (Potomac uses e-Verify)




§  Ability to arrive at the assigned job site on-time, typically located in the Tri-State area (Maryland, D.C, Virginia)

§  Ability to work day shift or night shift on a job-to-job basis as work schedules and customer requirements may vary

§  Ability to work overtime on an extended day or weekend shift as may be required to meet customer expectations and schedules

§  Ability to lift materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds

§  Ability to safely use small hand tools (knives, saws, cutting equipment)

§  Ability to work safely from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, etc. as may be required




The successful Demolition Worker will have two to three years’ experience in the construction trade with previous experience of demolition methods highly desirable. Demolition includes but is not limited to: walls and partitions, block removal, door removal, window removal, concrete trenching, concrete paving removal, etc. Previous experience operating heavy equipment such as Bobcat, forklifts, excavators, etc. is a plus.
