Description:	ATA Aerospace, a joint venture of ATA and ASRC Federal Space & Defense, is currently seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our team supporting the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in Greenbelt, MD. In this role, the candidate will provide mechanical design and drawing checking in support of a major flight mission at the NASA GSFC. ATA Aerospace provides engineering service for the branches within the Mechanical Systems Division of the GSFC Applied Engineering and Technology Directorate (AETD) and also for many flight projects at GSFC.
Duties:	Candidate will perform mechanical design activities in support of a major flight mission at the NASA GSFC; this includes, but is not limited to: * Utilize PTC Creo design software to develop components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies; this includes generation of models as well as production drawings using GD&T principles * Develop models to support trade studies and concept designs * Work within an integrated product team and coordinate with a variety of discipline engineers and designers * Provide written and verbal inputs and reports to senior engineers and management
Qualifications:	* Minimum of 10 years or greater of highly relevant experience in mechanical design and drawing * Experience with spaceflight systems, subsystems, components and parts is strongly desired * Experience required primarily with Pro-Engineer/Creo CAD software but experience with Solidworks is a plus * Must be able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment and communicate effectively (written and oral) with colleagues. * All candidates must meet the 22 CFR 120.15 definition of US Persons
