Position Purpose: Assist in administration and organization of various project documents and provide coordination support to project team as directed by Project Manager.

Essential Responsibilities

Pre-Construction - Assist Project Manager and Construction Team with the following:

  • Job Set Ups
  • Contractual Deliverables
  • Construction Planning
  • Subcontractor Qualifying

Construction - Assist Project Manager and Construction Team with the following:

  • Track/File Project Documentation
  • Packing/Material Slip Tracking and Submission to A/P Department
  • Equipment and Tooling Tracking
  • Material Purchase Order Set Ups
  • Billing Review
  • Change Order and Legal Documentation Submission/Tracking
  • Incident Reporting
  • Customer Requests
  • Daily Job Journals

Post Construction - Assist Project Manager and Construction Team with the following:

  • Submission of Final As-Built Records
  • Final Payment Billing
  • Subcontractor/Vendor Closeouts and Payments
  • Project Closeout

Knowledge | Skills | Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse workface
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing using proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation
  • Superior time management skills, able to prioritize daily workload and plan ahead
  • Maintain confidentiality of project records and documents
  • Able to travel to various project locations
  • Extensive computer skills to include Acrobat, Microsoft - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

Qualifications

  • B.S./B.A. in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 1-3 years of Construction Administration or related experience, preferably in the electrical utility industry

Work Environment

  • Primarily office environment with periodic site visits and/or site walk downs.
  • Occasionally work in outdoor weather conditions
  • This position requires frequent communication with employees and outside vendors. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • Occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds
  • Must be able to remain standing for approximately 50% of the time
  • Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, climbing
