The Marketing Database Specialist will be responsible for the daily maintenance, data quality, and growth of the enterprise databases to drive marketing and sales initiatives to completion.

Your responsibilities as Marketing Database Specialist

Provision Client Access

    Verify the accuracy of information provided in various formats to grant and remove access to customers using multiple CRMs (in-house, Salesforce, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
  • Communicate effectively across departments and with our customers to resolve data discrepancies
  • Upload daily lists of leads to Salesforce and monitor its accuracy

Data Hygiene / Data Enhancements

  • Proactively identify and correct erroneous data including duplicates and malformed data
  • Perform online research, utilize third-party information, and other techniques to maintain high data quality across Marketing related areas

Reporting

  • Extract data from internal and third-party databases using conditional statements and Boolean logic
  • Use a data driven approach to create customer segmentations that match the data to the message of the marketing campaigns
  • Create custom reports to monitor the health of the database and to identify areas of improvements

Process Improvements

  • Identify opportunities for database growth, health, automation advancements
  • Contribute ideas to validate customer information using algorithms or pattern recognition
  • Become an early adopter of new technologies implemented within the organization
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor's degree - required
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience is required
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with enterprise CRM systems and working with large datasets
  • Intermediate skills in Excel (data manipulation formulas, and pivot tables required)
  • Basic SQL data extraction skills and knowledge of VBA highly desirable
  • Attention to detail with an eye for the bigger picture
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to resolve timely issues with little escalation
  • Salesforce experience a plus
