Job Description

Advanced Decision Vectors, LLC (ADV) was established in 2009, provides superior program management, program support, strategic planning, and systems engineering to the Federal and Commercial sectors. Located in Alexandria, Virginia, ADV is a Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) 8(a) contractor that has roots established in the Department of Defense and support agencies. We are seeking a Sr. Contracts Administrator for our corporate office located in Alexandria, VA. The selected candidate will be at the corporate office 2-3 days per week (phase 1) per COVID-19 protocol. This is not a remote role.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities are but not limited to:

  • Reports to company Officers, Directors, and Program Managers.
  • Oversees company performance for conformance to original proposal and maintains continual reviews to ensure that all terms and conditions are met and that the contract is in accordance with legal requirements, customer specifications and government regulations.
  • Provides expertise in identifying potential contractual problems or conflicts and analyzing impact/ramifications.
  • Prepares and disseminates information throughout the company regarding contract status, compliance, modification, deviation, negotiation, and termination.
  • Focuses on continual improvement in the speed, quality, and simplicity of contract formation and management processes, without compromising compliance.
  • Supports Company methodologies to reduce inefficiencies and improve responsiveness.
  • Able to manage contract issues across company ensuring organizational effectiveness and standardization.
  • Responsible for driving performance consistent with the organization's functional objectives.
  • Provides independent and objective contract evaluation.
  • Advises the organization's leadership on contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions.
  • Maximizes profit and cash flow while minimizing risk in the negotiation of contracts.
  • Contributes to the development of strong working relationships with customers and ensures high internal customer satisfaction.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (or work experience equivalent)
  • 6+ years of experience in federal contracts administration
  • Solid knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and other federal regulations, as well as experience with commercial contract regulations
  • Experience with writing and managing business/price volume proposals
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Required Skills/Training:

  • Due to requirements and to be eligible for this role, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at time of hire.
  • Ability to stand-up and organize a contracts office
  • Excellent technical and functional knowledge of contract administration in a government contracting environment.
  • Excellent negotiation skills/techniques and experience.
  • Advanced analytical skills and business acumen to make sound management decisions/recommendations.
  • Solid problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Seasoned interpersonal skills, with ability to influence customers.
  • Demonstrated initiative with results in dynamic, fast paced environments.
  • UNANET experience desired.
  • Active security clearance desired.
