ICMA is looking for a social media community manager to grow our audience and drive audience engagement with our brand across all social media channels. In this role, you will develop and execute social media marketing plans that generate leads; create and execute media content plans that drive traffic to our website; and analyze social media and web traffic to make recommendations for editorial and program staff to accomplish our campaign goals.

As Social Media Community Manager, you will truly drive our social media community across all sectors and markets we touch.

In detail:

You will Manage Social Media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities.

That includes
 
  • Working with ICMA Business teams to develop social media strategies to increase sales of products and services.
  • Curating relevant social media content to reach the ICMA’s members, prospects and other stakeholders.
  • Creating, curating, and managing engaging social media content (images, video and written).
  • Monitoring, listening and responding to users in a “Social” way while cultivating leads.
  • Developing and expanding community outreach efforts.
  • Designing, creating and managing promotions and Social ad campaigns.
  • Managing ICMA google ad grant and ICMA digital ad campaigns.
  • Performing analysis and compiling reports for management showing results of social media efforts (ROE) and web performance (Google Analytics).
  • Preparing and sharing reports for editorial and other teams along with recommendations on how to improve metrics through team effort.

You will Manage ICMA Social Communities where you’ll
 
  • Promote engagement in and awareness of our web presence.
  • Manage ICMA Connect, ICMA’s private network working with members and staff
 
You will Work with Sr. Content Mgr to
 
  • Develop social media content plan that integrates with overall ICMA content plan
  • Write and produce resources such as blog posts targeted to engage audiences
  • Conceives/creates compelling social media graphics and a/v to help tell the story

We’re looking for someone that can plan, strategize, schedule, write, evaluate and report results.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS you’ll bring:

An Undergraduate Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Public Administration, Political Science, related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.  Coupled with at least three years experience in driving social media engagement.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
 
  • Demonstrated social media management experience
  • Experience developing and implementing digital ad campaigns (PPC and SEM)
  • Basic social media level graphic and digital audio and video editing skills
