Job Summary At the direction of the Executive Steward, the Night Cleaner is responsible for cleaning all major kitchen equipment and kitchen working spaces.
Job Requirements
At least one (1) year Industrial/Kitchen cleaning experience
Ability to grasp, lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Move or push a hand truck/cart weighing up to 500 lbs.
Work with minimal supervision.
Ability to work any areas with no limitations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Clean kitchen equipment, such as stoves, ovens, broilers, grills, fryers, steam tables, refrigerators, kitchen floors and matting, drains, walls, sinks shelving units, cabinets and loading docks (lots of bending, kneeling, lifting).
Clean and polish all stainless steel and copper surfaces.
Pressure cleaning kitchen floors, wash ceiling tiles, walls and storage areas and pantries.
Ware-washing, polishing silver coffee urns and chaffing dishes.
Ensure a safe working environment.
Must have the ability to complete assignments.
Reports all equipment maintenance needs to kitchen management
Communicates daily with kitchen management to obtain/provide current information regarding daily activities/functions and upcoming events
Strives to achieve greater proficiency of every task
Other duties assigned by kitchen management
General TCMA
Promotes and applies teamwork at all times and supports kitchen management
Ensures that all policies and procedures contained in the TCMA employee handbook are adhered to, reporting any infractions to kitchen management in a timely manner
Is polite, friendly, and helpful to all guests, management and fellow employees
Attends all appropriate TCMA meetings and training sessions
Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area
Executes emergency procedures in accordance with TCMA standards
Complies with required safety regulations and procedures
Complies with department uniform and grooming standards
Notifies kitchen management whenever leaving appropriate work area
