Navigation Systems Engineer - Requisition ID 037803 USA-California-Ridgecrest Description Provide systems engineering/analyst services to the AV-8B Harrier program in the area of Required Navigation Performance (RNP) Area Navigation (RNAV) integration and associated software development. Duties include (but are not limited to): Conduct requirements analysis, contribute to design reviews, design and execute system evaluation procedures for laboratory and flight integration events, characterize and document anomaly reports, troubleshoot and verify system and sub-system anomalies, perform system data analysis using MUX 1553 raw data and video data, log and document integration activities throughout the life cycle of each AV-8B Block Upgrade. Support systems integration lab, ground and flight tests; monitor, review and comment on navigation integration test planning documentation and test events. Support airborne systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to support integration efforts, respond to inquiries from the fleet operators, and support fleet introductions of new and modified systems. Qualifications 12 Years experience. Bachelor's Degree in an engineering field. A Secret clearance and working knowledge and experience in the handling and distribution of classified material are required for the position. Ability to work independently as well as within a team. Ability to speak/write clearly and professionally. Experience and working knowledge of Required Navigation Performance (RNP) Area Navigation (RNAV), tactical aircraft navigation, GPS and Mapping systems is desired.
