Job Description
Air Operations Center (AOC) Air Mobility Division subject matter expert. Candidate will be a member of a team of SMEs that develop and instruct AOC courseware for an international customer. Team will be based at Ft Walton Beach, Florida for courseware development and travel to the customer site for course instruction. Individual will use knowledge and expertise in Instructional Systems Development (ISD) to develop courseware including instructor guides, media, student guides and other training material. In addition, candidate will participate or lead in the development and execution of realistic lab exercises to enhance student learning. Continuation training and exercise support in the customer's AOC facility may also be required. Candidate must have strong analytic skills in addition to excellent oral and written communications. Individual must be willing to perform travel for periods of approximately eight weeks at a time.
Bachelor's Degree; minimum of two years (three desired) assigned fulltime to a C-NAF or C-MAJCOM air operations center, joint/other Service equivalent, or as an instructor in the AOC Formal Training Unit; detailed understanding of overall processes, procedures, and techniques for the AOC Air Mobility Division, and a subject matter expert in tanker and/or air mobility/airlift processes, procedures, and applications.
Previous certification as a platform instructor in a formal course of instruction desired. Previous experience will be considered if requesting a waiver to education and/or experience requirements.
Ability to obtain a passport. Principal place of work shall be located in Ft Walton Beach, Florida, however position will require periodic international travel as the needs of the business require.
