Job Description
Trade Center Management Associates is a private sector building management and hospitality service provider at the Ronald Reagan and International Trade Center. The Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center is recognized as a premier location in Washington DC, to stage events requiring the highest level of excellence in terms of service, food quality and presentation, and logistical planning.
Currently, Trade Center Management Associates is seeking a  Human Resources Generalist to complete the Human Resources Team. This position is responsible for providing the recruitment and staffing for Trade Center Management Associates. This individual will perform all recruitment activities and maintain excellent relations with department hiring managers, candidates, and the community at-large.  A wide degree of creativity, near and long- term recruiting vision, business understanding, and personal organization is required. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Visit all departments and meet with hiring managers to develop a thorough understanding of the department culture and the uniqueness of the organization's recruitment needs.
  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts to include area industry human resources directors to help identify and source qualified candidates
  • Create and foster strong working relationships with local colleges, trade schools, and diverse professional organizations to attract and recruit alumni and diversity candidates
  • Attend local industry or college career fairs and job expositions to market the organization
  • Maintain or establish membership into local trade association (SHRM) ongoing networking opportunities
  • Act as liaison with area employment agencies and departments of employment services submitting listings of current openings and job application procedures
  • Develop an effective pipeline of key talent potentially available for immediate hire as succession planning needs dictate
  • Participate in development of ongoing creative and cost-effective sourcing strategies
  • Process all recruitment advertising. Maintain current recruitment advertising expense log
  • Input all applications and resumes into Great Plains dynamics applicant tracking database
  • Review resumes and credentials and pre screen candidates for appropriateness of skills, experience, knowledge and salary requirements in relation to position requirements
  • Send electronic "acknowledgement of receipt" to applicants applying via the web
  • Manage the scheduling and logistics of all interviews between candidates and hiring managers
  • Manage and coordinate all communication with candidates
  • Review the hiring manager's interview evaluation ensuring disposition code system is utilized
  • Maintain accurate and well-ordered documentation on all candidates, searches, hiring manager's interactions, and other recruiting activities
  • Generate correspondence to 'non-selected' candidates
  • Submit all background investigations; conduct all pre-hire reference checking and employment verifications
  • Submit completed pre-employment hiring packet to VP of Human Resource or Human Resources manager for offers of employment
  • Process all internal job applications
  • Maintain and update Job Requisition log
  • Maintain and update current job openings for company website
  • Administer TCMA internship program
  • Other Human Resources duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors degree required
  • 3 to 5 years experience in recruiting, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills required
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Must be Internet savvy and experienced in mining online databases
  • Knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
