Description
The candidate shall assist in the preparation and coordination of staff packages. These packages are part of the C2 requirements validation process and shall to be sent to external agencies (i.e., MAJCOM staffs and the Air Staff) and technical experts for their review/approval. The candidate shall assist in proper formatting of official responses and submittal of adjudicated comments received from outside agencies, to include, as appropriate, other Service and Joint command comments/inputs. The candidate shall create and modify graphs, tables, illustrations, and briefings for the Division as required.
Additionally:
1) ensure approval for use of copyrighted material is requested/received and will publish, post, and distribute required documentation by electronic or hard copy means
2) establish and direct the maintenance of electronic documentation archives for C2C and ensure adherence to Air Force Instructions and inspection criteria
3) ensure management and filing of Official Air Force Records for the C2C Division products meets the requirements of Air Force Records Information Management System (AFRIMS) and Air Combat Command (ACC)
4) assist customer to manage the AOC Requirement Review Board (RRB) and the Requirements Working Group (RWG) websites and in preparation and conduct of scheduled meetings for both these groups and other groups as assigned. Contractor shall support RRB and RWG documentation, reviewing, editing, archiving, and filing tasks
5) be responsible for technical editing of formal Air Force documents such as Concepts, Systems Integration Roadmaps, Joint Capabilities Integration and Documentation System (JCIDS) products, and related correspondence supporting the AOC Division and its Branches
6) ensure appropriate levels of grammatical correctness, readability, visual appeal, and clarity of text, graphs, tables, and illustrations are met and ensure production documents comply with Air Force formats and styles.
Qualifications
1) Associates Degree required
2) Technical Editing (Format, Layout, and Grammar). 5 years in-depth expertise in technical writing and editing. Expert proficiency with MS Office suite of software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), and intermediate proficiency with MS Project
3) Preparation and Coordination of Staff Packages. 3 years in-depth, current knowledge of topic and task.
4) Preparation and Records Management of Electronic Documentation Archives. 3 years in-depth knowledge of topic and task
5) AOC Requirements Review Board (RRB) Support. 2 years in-depth knowledge of topic and task
6) Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Applicants selected for this position will require an active DoD Secret clearance, and background screening. Applicants selected for a security clearance will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirement for access to classified information.
