Currently our Sales department is seeking a vibrant Sales Manager to complete the team.
Job Overview:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for all sales activities in an assigned territory and will be accountable for initiating, developing and closing sales to attain revenue objectives in the assigned territory. Success is largely dependent on the skills, perseverance and enthusiasm that is brought to the role as you sell meetings and events at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center.
Job Responsibilities:
Attain personal contracting goals for catering, rental and new business
Assist sales team in meeting annual revenue goals. Be prepared to move definite business when requested and possible; clear tentative and hold business in a timely fashion
Proactively solicit new business through telemarketing and personal sales calls on accounts in assigned markets
Maintain awareness of business trends in assigned market segments
Conduct site inspections
Organize presentations for inside and outside sales calls
Negotiate with guests to achieve maximum revenue and profit for the business while exceeding guest needs
Assist in developing and executing special projects for assigned market segments to grow revenue
Entertain guests to strengthen business relationships
Maintain complete product knowledge of local competitors
Participate in industry affiliated events and programs
Attend at least 10 local networking events during the year
Create and implement annual sales strategy
Prepare quarterly updates and year-end summary to the sales strategy
Maintain assigned files in accordance with the guidelines outlined in the sales manual
Follow all established procedures as designated in the sales manual
Review existing prospect holds with the ADOS bi-monthly (white hold report)
Understand details and needs of each booking and discuss clearly with event planner at turnover
Maintain contact with clients after events are turned over to insure that they are receiving the appropriate service
During the event, spend time with client to make sure that the event is being delivered as discussed during the sales phase
Forecast revenues monthly for all hold and tentative status groups
Prepare contracts and proposals as needed
Submit contract log to vice president of sales weekly
Establish and maintain all bookings in MIRACLE, insuring that the correct space is being held and the proper revenues forecast
Answer all calls and email the same day
Keep ADOS promptly informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance (i.e. cancellation, attrition) so prompt action can be taken
Adhere to sales division grooming guidelines at all times
Conduct personal behavior in a mature professional business manner at all times
Maintain team spirit by supporting all the efforts of individuals in the sales department
Job Requirements: Education, Experience, Skill, and Abilities:
Has 2+ years of sales experience and a College Degree (or some College Course Work Completed)
Excellent presentation, organizational, and communication skills
Management/Supervisor Skills
Training and development skills
Motivational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products is required: Proficiency with web, SaaS, CRM and mobile applications a plus
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while delivering exceptional quality and customer service
