Job Description
In your position as Senior Sales/Association Manager, our mutual success is largely dependent on the sales skills, internal and external client relationships and enthusiasm you bring to your role. As you sell the International Trade Center event space, you will be representing all the employees of our facility, giving many prospective customers their first opportunity to experience our unmatched customer service and a unique, state-of-the-art events venue.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Make telephone and personal sales calls on accounts in assigned market areas. Follow-up promptly with appropriate action to support telephone and personal sales calls
  • Conduct tours of property with meeting and event planners
  • Become an expert, and maintain your expertise in the market segment(s) you sell
  • Enter all tentative and definite programs in the function book with accuracy and clarity
  • Organize presentations for inside and outside sales calls
  • Negotiate with clients and achieve maximum revenue/profit potential while satisfying client needs
  • Respond promptly to all customer inquiries and all group lead referrals
  • Maintain an effective plan of correspondence and trace system in Visual One
  • Maintain assigned files in accordance to guidelines outlined in the Sales Manual
  • Follow all established procedures as designated in the Sales manual
  • Attain individual weekly telephone and sales call goals
  • Have complete product knowledge of local competitors
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings
  • Attend weekly 1-on-1 sessions with Associate Director of Sales
  • Keep Associate Director of Sales promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so prompt corrective action could be taken where appropriate
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure quality of guest satisfaction
  • Contact customers in-house to promote good will and foster additional business
  • Provide input on your market for the marketing plan and budget
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times
  • Conduct personal behavior in a mature professional business manor when representing the ITC
  • Participate in industry affiliated events and programs
  • Maintain a team spirit by supporting all the efforts of individuals in the Sales Department
  • Perform any other assigned duties

Background and Skills:
 
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Excellent presentation, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to mange multiple tasks simultaneously while delivering exceptional quality and customer service
  • Conference Center or Hotel Sales experience
  • Must have previous experience in the Association Sales Market
  • Bachelors degree, or compatible work experience, preferably in Hospitality Management
