Our Mission: Launched in 2000 by a couple with a vision, UCS is now a 300+ employee CONUS/OCONUS health and enterprise IT service provider armed with a solid reputation for innovative and quality solutions. Since our founding, UCS’s mantra is “Intelligence at Work” - employing smart people who create smart solutions that save the Government time and money. The industry recognized our services by awarding us with CMMI Level 3 (for Service and Development), ISO 9001:2015, ISO 20000, and ISO 27001 certifications – all of which underscore the quality, ingenuity, and reliability of both our services and our people. In addition to these certifications, UCS was awarded several contract vehicles that allow our clients quick and easy access to our services. UCS Recruitment and Retention Philosophies: UCS has a team of dedicated recruiters who identify, vet, hire, orient, and maintain qualified candidates and employees. As part of our recruiting process, we first consider internal resources and referrals while simultaneously advertising and sourcing externally. We maintain an active pipeline of referrals through our own network of employees as well as an established network of niche staffing companies. We review major job boards and social networking sites, as well as targeted job boards that focus on specific career fields, the cleared community, military veterans, and those with industry certifications. UCS’ HR team carefully vets all candidates, checks all references, and arranges for background checks that verify education and employment, criminal records, and credit history. Our Talent Acquisition System also supports recruitment activities for high volume and difficult-to-fill positions from both a personnel and geographic perspective. UCS recognizes that retaining qualified personnel with highly specialized skills in an industry with high demands is a big challenge.
