Company Overview
The SEED Foundation (www.seedfoundation.com) is a national nonprofit that partners with urban communities to provide innovative educational opportunities that prepare underserved students for success in college and beyond. In 1998, the Foundation opened The SEED School of Washington, D.C. – the nation’s first urban public boarding school. To date, 98 percent of the School’s graduates have been accepted to four-year colleges and universities. Building on that success, The SEED School of Maryland opened its doors in Baltimore in 2008. The SEED Foundation’s commitment to furthering the educational opportunities of underserved children and their families has led the Foundation to take steps toward opening additional SEED schools in Ohio, New Jersey, Wisconsin and other areas around the country.
