Naval Support Activity Bethesda (NSAB)
 
Located at 8901 Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda, Maryland, Naval Support Activity Bethesda is home to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC), the largest military medical center in the U.S., and the President's hospital.  Other tenant commands include Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC), Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute (AFRRI), Navy Medicine National Capital Region (NCA), Joint Task Force National Capital Region Medical (JTF CapMed), and the Fisher House Foundation, just to name a few. 
 
 
 
 
Morale, Welfare, & Recreation (MWR)
 
The Navy Morale, Welfare and Recreation Division administers a varied program of recreation, social and community support activities on U.S. Navy facilities worldwide. Our programs provide active-duty, reserve and retired military personnel and their families with sports and physical fitness activities, child development and youth programs, and a variety of food and beverage services. Our mission is to provide quality support and recreational services that contribute to the retention, readiness, mental, physical, and emotional well-being of our Sailors, Soldiers, Airmen, and Marines. 
 
Although we are located at a naval installation, we service all branches of the military.
 
At NSA Bethesda, MWR services include Child Development Centers, Bowling Center, Fitness Center, Ticket & Travel Services, Single Service Member (Liberty) Program, Warrior Cafe, and Administrative Offices.

Child & Youth Program
 
 
 
Our Child Development Centers service NSA Bethesda Wounded Warriors, Active duty, DOD civilians, and contractors employed by WRNMMC and its tenant commands located on campus.  We are NAEYC accredited and licensed by the Department of Defense.  Hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 0600 - 1800, and closed Federal Holidays.
 
 
 
Working at the NSA Bethesda Child Development Center is a great way to start or continue your early childhood development career!  You'll earn classroom experience with children from ages 6 weeks to 5 years, from observing children to developing lesson plans and implementing them.  All training is provided free of charge, so no previous experience is necessary.  Prospective employees must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, a local background check, a National Agency Check Investigation (NACI), and a reference check.   Other requirements include 4 Saturdays per year & 1 evening per month for training, and the ability to perform duty as mission essential personnel.
 
 
 
Entry Level (requires 18 years of age, read, write & speak English, & High School Diploma or Equivalent): $13.69 per hour
 
Intermediate Level (requires the above & Dept. of Navy modules 1 - 3, child abuse modules & 6 months experience): $14.94 per hour
 
Target Level (requires same as Entry Level & 2 year degree or higher, CDA, or DoD Modules): $16.79 per hour

Bowling Center
 
 
 
Our Bowling Center offers 20 lanes of fun for all eligible patrons.  With an outdoor party deck, birthday party packages, bowling league, and Saturday Rock & Bowl, bowling has never been such fun!  Position openings are usually in the snack bar area or as front desk recreation aids. 
 
 
 
Fitness Center
 
 
 
Open Monday - Friday, 0500 - 2100; Weekends & Holidays, 0900 - 1800 the Fitness Center provides cardio, weights, an Olympic-size pool, an indoor running track, racquetball courts, basketball courts, personal training, and group fitness classes for our eligible patrons, specializing in programs for our Wounded Warriors. 
 
 
 
Positions range from entry level recreation aid to mid-level recreation specialists. 
 
 
 
Information, Tickets & Travel Office
 
 
 
ITT provides a variety of discount tickets to authorized patrons, from area attractions to Disney World.  With a newly expanded travel department, offering vacation packages and booking, ITT is your one-stop leisure shop.
 
 
 
Positions here are limited, but include Ticket Sellers and Recreation Specialists.
 
 
 
Liberty
 
 
 
The Single-Service Member Program (or, "Liberty") is for Wounded Warriors, single/unaccompanied E1-E6, and geo-bachelors.  Running trips and events to help boost our active duty military morale, the Liberty Program also offers a Liberty Zone, an area for active duty military to relax, watch movies, play video games, and surf the 'net.
 
 
 
Positions with the Liberty Program range from Recreation Assistant to Recreation Specialist.
 
 
Warrior Café
 
 
Having just opened in August 2011, the Warrior Café has become a base hit, offering exceptional food at a reasonable price.  Primarily serving our Wounded Warriors and their families, WRNMMC & NSAB staff members also enjoy grabbing a bite here.  Open 7 days a week.
 
Positions primarily open are Food Service Workers and Cooks.
