In June of 2000, LMG began its mission to serve the patients of Loudoun County and nearby communities and provide a foundation for physicians and mid-levels to practice medicine by supporting the administrative functions of the practice pods.  These functions include but are not limited to: administrative, purchasing, billing, credentialing, compliance, accounting and operational areas of expertise.  LMG has brought multi-specialty physicians together to work collectively with managed care organizations to offer better benefits to their patients while establishing a central office to handle the day-to-day affairs of doing business.  Under the leadership of CEO, Mary Beth Tamasy, LMG has grown from thirteen initial practices into the largest physician owned multi-specialty medical group in Northern Virginia.  LMG currently spans a geographic area of some 65 miles from Berryville to Alexandria, Virginia and employs over 800 individuals.  Currently, LMG had 54 distinct practices or “pods” in 83 separate locations with 139 physicians and 89 mid-levels providing care to over half a million patients.
