Company Overview
STEWARDSHIP
The tradition of stewardship is ancient. The practice remains contemporary. Our charge is to assume the responsibility for the management of a property, protecting its reputation and increasing its value.

We are also stewards of our community. Our company, our employees, and many of our residents and tenants are actively engaged in volunteering time and talent to a wide range of programs that help make our neighborhoods better places in which to work and live. Schools, churches and charities in the District and nearby Maryland and Virginia recognize Borger Management, Inc. as a company that is socially aware, committed and dependable.

LEADERSHIP
Borger Management, Inc. is a leader in the DC Metropolitan Area real estate industry. BMI has over 9,000 multi-family housing units and 2.3 million square feet of commercial and retail space under our care. We are active participants in civic forums, committees and the legislative process as it pertains to real estate. Our executive team regularly serves in leadership roles in industry associations, including the Metropolitan Washington Apartment and Office Building Association (AOBA), the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and the National Apartment Association (NAA).

BMI is proactive on behalf of our clients’ best interests, advocating for policies that benefit both our communities and our businesses. Further, we fully understand the impact that new local, regional and federal regulations have on our clients, precisely because we have often participated in the legislative process.

INNOVATION
We are not satisfied with yesterday’s solutions. BMI continues to innovate using tools such as the industry’s leading software technology for property management, and our unique approach to marketing.

With that said, we do not believe that innovation comes from a software box or a book of best practices. At BMI, our creativity comes from being on-site, talking with residents, tenants, building staff, neighbors and the owners, themselves. When we have a better understanding their values, we are better informed to create the innovative solutions to deliver that value.

ACCOUNTABILITY
The concept of management is more than just advice and financial reporting. For BMI, it means accepting active responsibility for the service of your tenants and the marketing of your properties. Ultimately, management means accountability for the profitable return on your investment.

Established in 1930, Borger Management, Inc. is owned and managed by the third generation of the founder. Our property management team consists of over 200 on-site service professionals, with over 50 accounting, marketing, property management and support staff in our corporate office.
