For over 80 years, the Jewish Community Center (JCC) of Greater Washington has served our community and provided programs and services that touch the lives of roughly 1 million people every year. Starting with our youngest members and reaching out to both active and frail seniors, there are activities, programs and special events as diverse as the people we serve. Whether it is our fully-accredited Ganon Gil Preschool, the Gildenhorn/Speisman Center for the Arts, our state-of-the-art Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Health & Fitness Center, our popular Chanukah Celebration and Purim Carnival, the Annual Jewish Book Festival, Camp JCC--with its nationally-recognized inclusion program for children with special needs--or any one of our more than 2,000 diverse programs, services and classes we offer each year, the JCC of Greater Washington is THE place for social, recreational, and cultural activities for all ages and all stages of the community. OUR HISTORY

The Jewish Community Center of Greater Washington-founded in 1923-is one of the largest metropolitan JCCs in the country. Our mission-providing quality educational, cultural, social and recreational programs, services and activities in order to perpetuate and strengthen Jewish identity, culture, values, traditions, knowledge and family life-is at the heart of all programs. JCC membership is open to everyone, regardless of race, religion, age or disability. The Center's diverse activities and services offer a natural gateway to Jewish life. The JCC of Greater Washington is an active member of the JCC Association a network of over 200 Centers across North America. The JCC of Greater Washington has received numerous awards for innovative programming. The Center is also nationally recognized as a role model for its inclusion programming for children and adults with special needs, including its award winning Camp JCC.
