Minimal Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Community Health or a qualifying field, such as:
· Community Health
· Public Health
· Social Work
· Nursing
· Related fields

2 years of community health experience with a current Missouri CMH credential.

• Skilled in interpreting and applying applicable laws, rules, and regulations;
• Skilled in analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, projecting consequences of proposed actions, and making recommendations in support of goals;

Work Hours
Normally scheduled Monday through Friday; may be required to work different shifts to include evenings and/or weekends. Schedule subject to change based upon department needs.

Compensation Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Brief Description of Duties:
Community Health Worker Program Coordinator will perform program coordinator duties such as (including but not limited to) examining present certificate program curriculum, planning implementation of coursework, assembling an Advisory Committee, meeting with Academic Advisors, and recruiting students for the certificate program during fall semester 2023. The hired CHW Program Coordinator will perform program coordinator duties and instruct courses during spring semester 2024.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Instructs CHLW courses
  • Updates curriculum to align with State of Missouri and industry standards
  • Works with HSI Division Chair on course schedules, with final approval by the HSI Dean
  • Coordinates and updates all information needed to submit to accrediting agencies
  • Coordinates communication to prospective students, ensuring materials are updated and accurate
  • Recruits prospective students through telephone calls, recruiting events, and email contact, including follow-up contact to note their progress and address questions
  • Works with current students and graduates in regard to certification and licensure paperwork, clinical preparation documentation and other miscellaneous inquires
  • Participates in staff development opportunities to maintain expertise sufficient to support program operations.

Special Requirements:
Current Missouri CMH credential.
