Job Description | Student specialists with the FUEL NKU team assist in support of operations. As the on-campus food pantry, FUEL NKU welcomes several hundred patrons into the space on a daily basis. This position needs to be organized and able to think quickly on their feet. To be considered for a position, students MUST qualify for Federal Work Study (FWS). Primary Responsibilities |
This is an extensive list of possible tasks. Duties will be assigned based on daily needs: - Accept, pickup, and unload food and supplies from campus partners as well as community supporters. - Serve as a champion for FUEL NKU, working outreach and engagement events on behalf of the office. - Maintain food supplies according to expiration dates, and coordinate stock according to FIFO (first in, first out) method. - Check pantry shelves and space throughout each shift to ensure placement and organization of items. Maintain organization of a respectable and welcoming space. - Ensure accurate information and records. - Perform periodic facility and equipment inspections and maintain workplace safety standards. - Additional duties assigned as the semester progresses |
Qualifications |
- MUST BE FWS ELIGIBLE - Ability to work effectively and positively in a team setting. - Ability to lift at least 30 pounds. - Experience in a professional environment. - Willingness to integrate and uphold confidentiality standards. - Flexible schedule and ability to work 10-15 hours per week - Excellent communication skills. - Detail oriented and responsible. Any candidate offered this position is required to go through a pre-employment criminal background check as mandated by state law. |
